This substantial six-bedroom family home in London's W5 postcode is undergoing a phased flooring transformation, combining luxury materials with precise craftsmanship.

The specification called for a broadloom viscose carpet from ITC Natural Luxury Flooring, selected for its softness, sheen, and understated elegance. A bespoke stair runner is to be installed across two staircases, including a quarter landing and full landing, meticulously cut to follow the coving outline for a seamless architectural finish.

Particular attention was given to the pile direction: adjusted throughout the installation to catch both natural and artificial light in ways that subtly enhance the flow and depth of each space. In key sections, contrasting pile angles were deliberately chosen to create texture and movement.

Beneath the full landing rug area, we will be installing a premium LVT surface to support stability and durability, finished with a discreet velcro system to keep the runner securely in place while allowing for easy maintenance access.
